See our calendar and announcements section below for more information. We look forward to seeing you at the Club!
Your support and contributions will help us to weather the storm. Your donation ensures we'll be there when the struggling alcoholic reaches out for help: Now, and when the wind stops blowing.
And pick up some excellent reading material for your troubles!
A one year subscription to the Grapevine (the International Journal of Alcoholics Anonymous) will cost you $28.97 ($19.99 for the ePub version). Your purchase helps to support the work of AA throughout the year.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and wisdom to know the difference.
I am responsible. When anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help, I want the hand of AA always to be there. And for that I am responsible.
Our common welfare should come first; personal recovery depends upon A.A. Unity.
For over half a century, the Triangle Club of Pomona has provided meeting and social space for the recovering alcoholic community. In addition to 30+ AA and Al-Anon meetings per week, we host regular sober dances, holiday events, and an annual 24-hour Alcathon (with continuous activities) on the Memorial Day weekend.
In addition to our Friday night Speaker meeting, we have reinstituted our Sunday night Speaker meeting (starting at 8:00 pm).
Restrictions on the number of participants has been lifted with the transition from orange to yellow tier, but we ask that you continue to maintain safe social distancing (minimum 6') at all times while in the Club and please be sure to WEAR YOUR MASK at all meetings.
And, of course, it goes without saying: we are very much looking forward to our upcoming 2021 Memorial Day alcathon. We will be open 24-hours for entire weekend, so come in at any time to join in fellowship and to talk with another alcoholic.
We've added new meetings this week!
Starting on Tuesday, the weekly 630 pm 12 & 12 Book Study will be held in the big room. Wednesday at 6:30 marks the return of our Women's Sober Living Open meeting (women only).
And Friday night at 7:30 pm marks the return of our Friday night Speaker Series.
We look forward to seeing you again at the Club!
While we remain under LA Public Health Department restrictions (in particular, we are limited to 10 or fewer participants per meeting), we are working hard to expand the number of meetings we hold throughout the day.
We are happy to announce we have added a daily 8 pm meeting, and we're working to include additional new meetings after 6 pm and during the afternoon.
Please check back with us regularly. We will be adding new meetings to the calendar above as soon as they become operational.
We are currently holding three meetings a day (noted in the calendar above). Meetings are limited to 10 or fewer people at a time, there is no food or drink allowed, and specific procedures will need to be adhered to (listed at the link below):
http://www.publichealth.lacounty.gov/media/Coronavirus/docs/protocols/Reopening_SUDMentalHealth.pdf
If you have three months or more of continuous sobriety, please contact us at the link below if you are interested in servicing in this capacity. We will need to know your hours and days of availability to serve, and secure your agreement to follow the procedures listed above.
We are very hopeful that we can be rejoined in larger real life meetings once again, and look forward to hearing from you!
Following direction from the LA County Department of Health, the Triangle Club has joined with our partners in the recovery community to take recommended steps to limit public exposure to (and contagion of) the Covid-19 virus. While we are no longer completely closed, we are operating on only a very limited basis to provide in person meetings for those in need.
While in-person meetings are currently limited to 10 or fewer participants (and all attendees must wear masks), we continue our work to encourage and facilitate alternative resources (online meetings, phone numbers and email contacts in particular) are made available to you during the present crisis.
We are a stubborn, restless and irritable lot, and we share your frustration with current events. We have all been confronted with a tremendous challenge to our 12th Step work, but we have also seen admirable and innovative responses to reconnect us with our fellow alcoholics around the world. As more information becomes available, we will use these pages to provide you with resources to continue your journey on the Road of Happy Destiny. Although our traditional gatherings for holidays (and the twice annual alcathons) aren't possible, we'll also be arranging activities (like the Halloween Costume Contest) to help keep us connected as a family.
Meanwhile, we pray for swift improvement of our current circumstances, and we look forward to the day we can rejoin you all in traditional fellowship.
TBD
We look forward to joining you in fellowship. Until then, stay safe, stay sober, and stay in touch!
We are only open during the specific hours listed in the calendar above for morning, noon, evening and midnight meetings.
